I'm not saying Baylor has been great in competing in the major sports while in the Big-12 because they haven't ....but they haven't failed for lack of money. I didn't think Baylor belonged in the Big-12 at the time of their induction but Governor Ann Richards had a lot more to say about that than me.

The next time you're in Waco you should check out the athletic facilities. They are much nicer than they were back in the old Southwest Conference days. Their football stadium ...although not on campus ...as been totally revamped and modernized. They are buidling an indoor workout center on campus for football. The Bears basketball facility is first class ... as is their baseball facility. It's obvious Baylor has poured money into it's athletic department. Outside of John Moore's and John O'Quinn's facility donations... UH has not been able to do the same.

The Baylor women's basketball team won a national title recently and their other minor sports do well in the Big-12 .....but because their football and basketball programs haven't won much .... many people believe they haven't been trying that hard. That's not true.
The Bears didn't hold back paying big money to the likes of Kevin Steele and Guy Morriss in football and Dave Bliss in basketball .... the mistakes the Bears made was hiring the wrong guys.
