Carr Wreck

I know a lot of viewers and blog readers don't have a lot of love for David Carr....but even players that weren't close to him on the Texans would be quick to tell you how tough Carr is. Here's more.........

Carr took a physical beating playing quarterback for the Texans ....but this season ...has been even worse. When Jake Delhomme went out with a season-ending injury ...it looked like things were setting up well for David Carr to show his stuff as a Panther ...but then Carr got hurt. Carr suffered a concussion ....then more recently .... .... Carr suffered a broken vertebrae in his back. That's right a broken bone in his back. Nothing was said officially by the Panthers ...but according to my sources ....Carr was told the team needed him because Vinnie Testaverde ....the team's 3rd quarterback was also hurt ......so Carr played. He played after taking shots in his back ....and strapping on a back brace. What happened ....well things got even worse for Carr physically ......because in the last game .....he took a shot to the head from Tennessee defensive tackle Tony Brown ...and suffered a second concussion.

Are you kidding me?? Two concussions and a broken back in the first half of the season??
And get this ......Carr still tried to convince the coaches that he was ready to play this weekend. Wisely the Panthers are making him set out this weekend's game. It appears that Matt Moore will start for Carolina Sunday.

Did Carr win enough in Houston??? No. Was he always a professional?? Yes.
Was he tough in the face of adversity?? Yes. Did he always play with passion? Yes.

Attention Carr detractors say what you want about his performance as a quarterback ......but please, please don't ever question this guy's manhood or toughness.
