Of course they can. Will they do it?? It's anyone's guess.
The biggest problem longtime coach Wayne Graham has right now ....is to get his players to shake off Wednesday's dissappointing loss and prepare for the game of the season Thursday. He hoped it wouldn't come down like this. His players hoped it wouldn't come down like this ....but it has ...and no one involved with that team wants to lose a second straight game Thursday like they did last year. Last year the Owls were in the identical place ....2 & 0 ....and only needing one win over Oregon State to advance into the World Series Championship bracket ....but they were shut out 2 straight times ...and they were sent home downtrodden. Wednesday the Owls weren't shut out .....but almost felt that way.

Surely Graham will go with Joe Savery tomorrow on the mound. Savery .... the power hitter and left-handed power pitcher out of Lamar High School is built to play in big games like the one coming up Thursday. He wasn't a first round draft pick by the Phillies by accident. Savery wasn't able to pitch in last year's World Series due to a shoulder injury ......but now that could serve the team well ..... as Savery is extra hungry. His leadership on the field and in the dugout will be critical Thursday.

I believe the Owls will win Thursday and then go on to beat Oregon State in the 3 game championship series this weekend. What do you think??
