Thanks for the memories Kailee

After 5 seasons in Houston, one of the original Texans is moving on.
I was at the team's first offseason training activity this morning ,
and number 52 was not on the field .

Head coach Gary Kubiak actually pointed it out to the media,
saying Kailee has been considering his options since the season
ended and decided its time to move on .

According to Wong, "I currently have no plans to pursue other employment, but
I'm postponing the final decision for later.

General manager Rick Smith added, it was Kailee's decision.
He had to consider his health and family concerns after
playing 9 seasons in the N.F.L.

Smith also said Wong has been a pro's pro his entire stay with the Texans
representing the team with a lot of class.

There is still some uncertainty about whether he will retire straight out
or be released ,but there is no doubt he will be missed .

I can honestly say during my time covering the team no player was
more accommodating than Kailee Wong. Whenever you needed a clear, concise ,
sound bite Wong was always the man to go to .

Texans fans will remember Kailee made a key tackle on quarterback
Quincy Carter , as the Texans upset the Cowboys in their debute game.
Kailee Wong , thanks for the memories he will be missed .
