Yao's back, but Rockets need to mesh.

The first thing I noticed about Rockets shootaround
this morning was the number of bodies on the floor.
This team might be getting healthy and ready to peak at the right time.

Yao Ming has played 2 games since missing over 2 months
with a broken bone in his leg ,and he's definitely a work in progress.

The big fellow needs to get in shape like Lewis "Scooter" Libby
needs a pardon. The sooner , the better.

According to Tracy McGrady ," Right now he's thinking about his moves
and he doesn't know where the defense is playing him." " He's just all
messed up right now but he's going to be fine , he has time to work
it all out ."

So do the Rockets , when the season started they were an elite basketball
team and Yao was on an MVP pace . Now they have to work their way
back into the groove .

When I asked Yao if he felt out of cyn he told me ,"The first game back conditioning
was the problem , along with turnovers." "In the second game I was in foul trouble
it felt like my first game in the league ,but I know it will get better."

It was also good to see Yao having a few light moments with Jeff Van Gundy
after practice . But the comment of the day came from Shane Battier when teammate
Chuck Hayes reminded him that Duke had lost . Battier responded ," Chuck I'm having
a hard time hearing you because my Duke championship ring is in my ear and
its drowning you out ."
