So how are your brackets doing as we get ready to wrap up the final two days of games in the NCAA basketball tournament. When we started a couple of weeks ago, I meticulously went game by game through the tournament picking the teams who would end up in the final four and guess what? I got three out of the four teams right!

There is one problem with my picks. The only team not in the final contests on my sheet is the one I had winning it all... the Kansas Jayhawks. I had Florida coming out of the Midwest, Georgetown slamming through the East, Ohio State sliding through the South and although I had UCLA facing Kansas in the West, I picked the Jayhawks to go to Atlanta.

But that's what makes this event attract all kinds. It's certainly a time of enjoyment for basketball and non basketball fans. Co workers here at Channel 11 who don't know if a basketball is round or not, love filling out brackets. You should hear the cheers, the groans and the shouts as the games are being played. Picks are made by names, colors, mascots and location without even knowing who the players are but that's what makes it a blast. That is unless your teams get knocked out early or lose late as my winner did.

So this Saturday and Monday on Channel 11, which some think is the best basketball weekend of the year, it will be the best of the best, the survivors of emotional highs and lows playing for a chance at a collegiate title. There is no clear cut favorite although Lisa Foronda thinks nobody can beat the Florida Gators.

I've got them winning over UCLA and Ohio State beating Georgetown.

So it will be Florida and the Buckeyes for the title next Monday night and how can you select against the defending champions? Just go to KHOU.COM and check Ohio State to win it all as I did in the other bracket contest.... (just don't tell Foronda) It's madness or mania... MAKE YOUR PICK!
