The kind of passion Houstonians Reggie Phillips and Thomas Sanders
witnessed first hand, as members of the 85 bears.

21 years ago they help the Bears crush the Patriots 46 -to-10 in
Super Bowl 20. All the hype surrounding Super Bowl 41 has brought
back a lot of great memories for both Reggie and Thomas .

Phillips actually intercepted a pass and ran it in for a Bears touchdown.
But the Super Bowl was just the icing on the cake for the 85 team.
Both Phillips and Sanders were young rookies on a team filled with
characters .

"It was an exciting time for us ." "We thought that was just life in the N.F.L., we
thought every team was like this ." said Phillips .
Sometimes it was Ditka squaring off against Buddy Ryan, or Ditka vs McMahon.
They had "sweetness" , the great Walter Payton , William "the refrigerator" Perry ,
Mike Singletary, Richard Dent and the list goes on and on.

"There will never be another team like the one we had with all the characters
and all the sucess we had," said Sanders . "Not many guys could have gotten away
with the stuff McMahon did ,but to this day he's still doing endorsements ."

Another difference between the 2007 Bears , and the one that made history
in 85 was the making of the Super Bowl shuffle .
If you've never seen the video , trust me its more entertaining than
Paula Abdul unplugged .

Reggie and Thomas were both in the video. It included members of
the Bears singing and dancing to lyrics like "We're so bad we know we're good
blowing your mind like we knew we would."

It took 8 hours to make . K-Fed's marriage to Pop Diva Britney Spears
didn't last that long. The video actually sold more than 250 thousand
copies the first week.
How confident were the 85 Bears ? The Super Bowl Shuffle was recorded
2 months before the playoffs started. Now that's a team with attitude and
confidence. Something the 2007 Bears will be hard pressed to live up .
