There are 2 AFC games and 2 NFC games on the slate. I predict 2 home teams will win and two road teams will win. The first game Saturday pits the Colts against the Ravens. The Ravens have a great defense and we all know defense wins championships, but I believe the Colts defense will play just well enough to allow Indianapolis to win this game. I'm concerned that Steve McNair might just "will" his team to victory, but I really don't believe Jamal Lewis and the Ravens rushing offense will be able to do enough to carry the day for Baltimore. Peyton Manning had a rough 3-interception game last weekend, but I believe he'll be back on track Saturday as the Colts win by 3. In Saturday's NFC game the Saints host the Eagles and I have to go with the home team in this one. Not only are the Saints the sentimental favorite they are also the best team in this pairing. Jeff Garcia and his teammates have been on an incredible run but I believe the Saints will stop that run dead in it's tracks. Plus, the Saints offense led by veteran Drew Brees will exploit the Eagles defense. I'm picking the Saints to win by 7. Make sure and tune-in to KHOU-TV for the AFC games. Sunday's AFC matchup should be one for the ages. I've been saying for several weeks either the Chargers or the Patriots will win the Super Bowl and now here they are matched up in the Divisional series. I love LaDainian Tomlinson and everything the Chargers have accomplished this year but Tom Brady should outduel Philip Rivers at the quarterback position and surely Bill Belichick will outcoach Marty Schottenheimer. I'm picking the Patriots by 2. |
