Even at 60 "Rocky" still packs a punch .But what about
Tracy McGrady at 33.
The answer to that is a resounding yes, when he's healthy.
But once again back spasms have put T-Mac on the shelf ,
and the burning question inquiring minds want to know
is for how long?
According to Rockets Vice President of Operations and Athletic Trainer
Keith Jones , McGrady could be out 2 more days or 2 more weeks .
Jones says with the back it all depends on how McGrady feels .
On Tuesday T-Mac didn't practice with the team, instead Jones
put him through a separate workout .
Keith told me it was a very active session which included a lot
of running and shooting . He pushed McGrady really hard and
T-Mac felt no ill-effects from the workout, so they will increase the
intensity of tomorrow's session.
At this point Tracy is showing a lot of improvement but no timetable
has been put on his return . The Rockets are off to a great start
but they need a healthy T-Mac to be all that they can be . .
So until they get him back , the great wall of Yao will have to stand tall.
The 7'6 center is picking up the slack by scoring 26.5 points,
and almost 10 rebounds per game.
The Rockets will finish off their 5 game road trip this week
facing Portland on Wednesday and San Antonio on Friday.
