If not Carr, what about Kolb?

The Texans have not completely closed the door
on bringing David Carr back , but if they do slam it shut
where do they go from here ?

Before offering my two cents , I'd like to go on record
saying I like David Carr. I still believe he has the skills
to suceed in the N.F.L. but it maybe time for a change of scenery .

A fresh start somewhere else could be a good thing for Carr
and the Texans. Everything that's wrong with this team is not
David's fault. In fact , some of the things that are wrong
have contributed to Carr's lack of success. But for the time
being lets deal with what if .

One question the Texans are asking themselves is can Sage Rosenfels
be serviceable enough to allow the team to groom a young quarterback ?
Without moving up in the draft , the Texans won't have a shot
a Brady Quinn, but what about Kevin Kolb ?

After being a 4 year starter at U. of H. , the 6'3 and 225 pounder
has the size and the arm strength to play pro ball.
But after the Liberty Bowl he won't be flying under the N.F.L. radar for long.

He showed the ability to lead a team and if you don't believe
that's important , just look at what Vince Young has done for
the Titans.

Eventhough the Coogs lost 44-36 to South Carolina Kolb was
impressive .He was not intimidated by the big boys from
the S.E.C., passing for 386 yards and 3 touchdowns .

So would the Texans consider dealing Carr, while keeping Rosenfels
to keep the seat warm for a Kevin Kolb .
Anything is possible, but if Kolb is still available in
the 3rd round its something to think about .
Trust me , the Texans are thinking about a lot of things
right now besides Kolb already knows the city .
