T-MAC ATTACK

The Rockets are officially underway with flash bulbs bursting and interviews being conducted as media day kicked things off at the Toyota Center. I spoke with Tracy McGrady, who had a content look on his face while even going through all the hoopla, and asked him why he looked so relaxed. (By the way, T-Mac always looks relaxed but today was different) He basically told me for the first time in his career he is surrounded by players who he thinks can win a championship.
With the addition of Shane Battier and Bonzi Wells, the Rockets are more versatile. They don't have to rely totally on Yao Ming and McGrady. They now have quality depth and that has everyone excited.

Last season when T-Mac went down with his bad back, it was over for the Rockets. When Yao hit the shelf with his broken foot, they were toast. They didn't have an answer for anyone. This year they've got players who can carry the load if the super stars are injured. Right after the session, the Rockets boarded buses headed for Austin. Going there for training camp might be a good omen. They are trying to CAPITOLize on their new cast of characters.
