The Texans got a win and now everyone is happy. Have you noticed? Life is so much better when you walk off the field on top instead of getting plowed and it couldn't come at a better time for Gary Kubiak, David Carr and Mario Williams. The Texans now have two weeks to relish on this one and that is a good thing with the bye week coming up. Although the Texans have a long way to go to be a consistant winner, we are starting to see the effects of the decision they made on draft day to select Mario Williams. It's a long term decision.

When he got his first sack of his professional career against Miami, Reliant Stadium was rocking and rolling. Fans around here appreciate good defense, something the Texans have not had. Maybe it was more of a relief from the fans in their response for the play than the sack itself, but when it happened, it was an event! And then there was the game winner. We won't know for a while about how good Mario will end up being but how many defensive lineman line up as the left end during a two point conversion, read the reverse and head towards the flow of the play all the way to the right side. As the Dolphins Ronnie Brown let go of the ball on about the 12 yard line, there was Mario jumping high to tip the ball at the goal line. The pass was incomplete and secured the Texans win. Are you kidding me? How did he do that? It's somethng you can't really coach just pray you've got athletes with the talent to do that. Mario's got it in him to be Super!!!! No question, if he keeps working hard he will bring a smile to Texans fans for years.
