I have been saying all along... the Texans season really starts the third week of the regular season. Yes fans it started and it started on a sour note. I was just looking at the little things during the game with the Redskins and the local pro football team made some of the most insane mistakes during their loss. It used to drive me crazy when players would put themselves above the team. An example was the play of defensive lineman Thomas Johnson. He has to be hating life today after what he did in the game. Two personal foul penalties cost the Texans big time. Both involved hitting Skins quarterback Mark Brunnell. It wasn't the first one that concerned me but the second one was inexcusable. The Texans were within 16 points in the fourth quarter when Washington back Rock Cartwright fumbled on a simple running play. Shantee Orr picked up the ball and rambled 77 yards for a touchdown but "Hold on Nellie." The play was called back because Johnson hit Brunnell about 75 yards away from where Orr crossed the goalline. |
