The big news of the day was coach Gary Kubiak announcing
the team captains for the first half of the season.
Andre Johnson will represent the offense, Anthony Weaver
on defense, and Troy Evans was slected as the special teams
captain.

All three players were really excited about being picked
by their peers. Johnson told me ,"It just goes to show that you
don't have to be talking a lot of trash all the time ,
that you can lead by example."

Andre is a silent , soft spoken type of guy ,
but his work on the football field speaks for itself and
his teammates understand that .

Meanwhile, Weaver said, "Since I'm new on the team this is really
a tremendous honor for me."
Evans is known for his all out hustle and hard work, and he
says being a captain is really special because its an honor that
comes from his peers .

The texans are planning to slect 3 more captains at the
halfway point in the season.
