It's never boring when you hang around Roger Clemens. It seems like everything he does is just a little different but it's interesting. Recent case in point...we all thought we may have seen him pitch in person for the last time in Houston against the Reds on Wednesday afternoon, now we find out he is going to start Sunday nights game against the Cardinals at Minute Maid Park on three days rest. How cool is that!!!! Roger is the consumate pro and this is another indication he'll do what is asked to help the team and help the organization. Now before all of you go crazy on me and some of you have about the money he is making, let me say that I know the "Rocket" and he loves the game more than he loves the cash but he also loves the cash, don't get me wrong. Who wouldn't. It's been my experience being around him that he genuinely reveres Houston and can't say enought about the support he receives from the local fans. This new revelation is one way for him to show how much he cares by giving his supporters another chance to see him pitch. Sometimes we can take what he has accomplished for granted but when you look at his stats, he's amazing. You may never see another player do what he has done again. So Roger, thank you for agreeing to do this. It's not the normal way things are done in baseball these days, but you are anything but normal.
