It is that time of year again. Your dog is itching and scratching, biting and chewing. Is it just the change in weather? Or, is it something worse? Flea season is here. As the weather warms up you can expect to see these little insects on you pets. With the rainy weather we had you can expect ticks as well. We will treat the dog with a nice flea bath first to kill all of the live fleas on the dog and suggest a good once a month spot on treatment like Frontline Plus or Advantage. Both of these work to kill the fleas in all stages of life. Killing 100% of adult fleas on your pet within 18 hours and 100% of all ticks within 48 hours, Frontline Plus contains an insect growth regulator, S-methoprene, which kills flea eggs and larvae. Advantage works in the same way but it only kills fleas and not ticks. I am not a big fan of flea collars. They are a pesticide collar that is worn around your pets neck. You need to make sure that wash your hands after you touch your pet. There are also oral medications that help control fleas, ticks and worms that can be given on a monthly basis. Your dog must be tested for heartworms before starting any medication that kills heartworms. Discuss these options with your vet or dog care professional and they can help you choose which one will be best for you. 4 CommentsLeave a comment |

Thank you Jenny for your kind words.Its people like you that make my job all worth it.I wish I could take all the credit but I couldnt do my job as well with out the great team that is behind me.There are a lot of steps that go into grooming a dog and and some times can be a long and challenging process some more then others but every dog and puppy that comes to our shop are treated as if they are our own.The high lite of my job is the bows, may sound funny but I enjoy that part the most it is my TAH-DAH at the end of every grooming session.I also cant forget my #1 high lite is the looks and noises of a happy customer the ooohs and aaahhhs is what makes me satisfied with a long days work.Thank you again Jenny oh by the way the perfume I use is Kelco fresh,and filthy animal those 2 are my favorite.I always look foward to meeting new customers and seeing the our regulars if any one has a question that has to do with the grooming of your pet feel free to ask I am here with any needs or you may have Thank You again!!!! OMG I love your place my sister took our dogs there to get there hair cut,You guys do the best job we have ever seen I belive the girl with the blonde hair cut our dogs hair she went all out to make them pretty we love the bows they are super clean and smell so good the price was a little high but worth it if they stay looking nice weeks after.What is it you use on them to smell so good?We are so excited we found you Paw spa Rocks!Is this the only shop you have or is there another one you have?

Just keep you dog clean and healthy. If you can not afford a groomer take them to a local self pet wash. There is a great one in Corona called Paw Spa. They will take care of you and your pet. They have all the supplies and tubs so you do not have to make the mess at home even dryers. And half the price of most groomers.
