I was nominated for two Emmy's. Not the Hollywood kind - it's the Journalist kind. I don't consider myself nor refer to myself as a journalist. Instead, I feel like my primary role is to tell stories about those among us who honor the role of parenting the blessing of children.

This is kind of a big deal to me. Being very new to this whole TV thing has been challenging to say the least. Thank God for family. My sister and I have a great relationship. Our personalities differ immensely, but our bond has strength beyond friendship into a realm that frankly only sisters can understand. Jenny DeVries wrote, "What's the good of news if you haven't a sister to share it?"

My sister and I share nicknames. I refer to her affectionately as "Cow" and she calls me "Piggy". Days after my nomination, I received a pig-shaped card in the mail that included this poem:

"There once was a piggy that lived down in Texas
She drove a van that she wished was a Lexus

Now this Little Piggy, she worked on TV
Giving parenting tips to non-experts like me.

This Piggy was clever, a Pig in the know
And on morning TV, She kept stealing the Show

Then along came the Emmys, not just one but TWO!
With a little hard work, look what Piggy can do!

So to all those who thought she was just a big Ham,
And who thought that her dream was just a big sham.

She's a star, now, celebrity!
Show some respect for the wee little piggy and
Don't you Forget.

That she did it herself, on her very own feet,
And success for her now, sure must taste Very Sweet!"
