Now some of your may disapprove, but my kids have been officially indoctrinated into Rock and Roll. That's not to say that we don't still sing along to Barney or Veggie Tales. Still, occasionally I have to whip out my VAN HALEN t-shirt and get my rock on. We jammed to "BOSTON" last night. You have no idea how much that makes me happy?? We pulled out our air guitars and sang "More than a Feeling" at the top of our lungs. None of us knew what the words were after "More than a Feeling" and made up something that sounded a little like "And it's here and a lot for.... More than a feeling". My eight-year-old interprets it as "And I hear and a clock for.... More than a feeling." I had no clue what my four-year-old was trying to sing - even when he sang it in slow motion. I actually looked up the lyrics this morning and learned that it's actually "Its more than a feeling, when I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)" That doesn't seem possible that that many words could fit in the time the lyrics are sung. Still, I am not going to share the real lyrics. Instead, I am going to stick to our interpretations and continue to jam to our version of BOSTON. So what's on the menu tonight? I've got a taste for a little ZZ TOP! ROCK ON!!! 2 CommentsLeave a comment |
