I did a segment on the rise in the number of Hispanic Students in local schools. My segment identified which schools saw the biggest increases and the impact this trend is having on the education system. But the crux of my segment focused on the importance of teaching cultural tolerance in the house and ways parents can make thier children more culturally sensitive. This subject has hit a nerve and viewers have had mixed reactions. I would love to hear from you. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
Do the people coming from Mexico/other countries enter into a cultural awareness program before they enter? I live in a neighborhood with many Hispanics (now moving)and find their racism appalling. Guess where its coming from, the mothers. The mothers are uneducated and they are teaching their many children to act this way. Cultural awareness is a two way street. Hispanics are not culturally sensitive to races around them. The media likes to report these are family oriented people with a high value system, I totally disagree. The men are offensive in their leering display toward woman, the woman are uneducated and ignorant and as a whole are a selfish race of people.
