I am home alone tonight. No children, no husband, just me watching whatever I want (which happens to be Antique Roadshow) and doing whatever I want (which is as little as possible). Now I know this may not sound thrilling, but for me it is VERY exciting. Other moms know. They envy me tonight. Five minutes in the bathroom seems like a luxury let alone an evening without interruption. Not that I don’t love my family. I do, of course! Still, a little me-time is a great way to reset and recoup before the invasion of needs returns. Now I am going to stop writing, sip my glass of wine and ponder what the Minnesota grandmother will do with the armoire that she bought at a yard sale for $200 that has just been appraised for $50-grand! I’m in Heaven!!! |
