I am a Big Fat Pig. I ate everything in site. The state fair does this to me EVERY time. Corn dogs, French fries, funnel cakes, cotton candy, cheeseburger (I'm not finished), butter dipped corn, Philly Cheese Steak, and...wait for it...deep fried Oreo cookies with ice cream.

But worse than being a Big Fat Pig - I am also a Big Fat Idiot. Unlike other moms, I arrived at the State Fair completely unprepared. I envy my more organized friends with their sun screen, water bottles, band-aids, handy-wipes, change of clothes, and, most importantly, a camera. Not me! It's a wonder I remembered the kids before heading out the door. I ended up spending eight dollars at a photo booth in order to document the day.

Still, in spite of my binge and my lack of preparation, we managed to have a great time at the Texas State Fair. I can’t wait for next year – I plan to redeem myself with
