I lost my calendar. I left it on an airplane and the twenty-five people that I contacted at the airlines cannot locate it. For the moms that are reading this, I can feel your empathy. You know how critical The Calendar is to running all things including school work, PTA meetings, baseball practice, work schedule, travel itineraries not to mention my version that also has phone numbers and other important information. Now I know that some of my more tech-y moms are shaking their heads and whispering under their breath. Believe me, I have been giving myself mental slashes and a lecture. After all, I should have one of those fancy schmany electronic calendars that also includes a cell phone, camera, television, and internet that can sync to the old fashioned computer on my desk preventing the catastrophic outcome because, although I remembered my carry-ons located under the seat in front of me and in the over-head compartments above, I failed to pull the stuff out of the seat pocket where I stored the calendar in order to take a few sips of the last of the on-board complimentary-services-Diet-Coke and snack on the $5 chips. I’m completely lost. I don’t know where I am supposed to be and who I am supposed to be meeting. Although I doubt God wants to be bothered by this personal inconvenience, I am still praying and pleading that some angel, somewhere will reveal my calendar and return it to me before I completely lose my mind. Until then, if I am missing a meeting with you, please accept my apologies. |
