Today was an embarrassing day – I mean a really embarrassing day. No offense, but my embarrassing day is probably a lot worse than any awkward moment you might have because I have live television to make an uncomfortable moment a complete disaster.

I was happily doing a segment on Back-to-School tips completely oblivious to the fact that a large piece of my hair was sticking straight up. To some, it looked like something was actually in my hair causing it to sprout. In addition, in an attempt to make a not-so-fitted jacket more fitted, I used a hair clip to pin it back. Unfortunately, the hair clip was visible during most of the segment. It was bad enough that most people knew it was a hair clip, but one friend said it looked more like a hermit crab. To make matters worse, the segment was not formatted properly and the image on the screen looked wider than normal. Truth is, I looked like a lineman with bad hair who had a crab stuck to her back.

I guess I really hit home the whole “Not-So-Perfect” aspect of Not-So-Perfect Parent!

I would pay million dollars to see that segment again. I have not laughed that hard or that long in a long time. Lets make a toast to moms with bad hair days everywhere
