Part Three: Plane Ride to Wisconsin Panic started to turn to terror. I tried to convince myself that even if beverages were served, I couldn’t have wine at 8:00 in the morning – not in front of the children. But how was I going to keep my cool when turbulence hit? How would I keep my kids from seeing me shake and sweat. We took off and I held on. My kids were actually a nice distraction. They put their hands in the air like they were on a rollercoaster and my youngest yelled “Faster, Faster!” Thank God, the flight was only 38 minutes long. We landed and I chimed in as the kids cheered. |
