Rain, rain, and more rain. Like a child pouting over another missed baseball game, I look out the window and hum “Rain Rain Go Away Come Again Another Day”. Although I know there will come a time in the near future (sometime in August when it is 120 degrees in the shade) that I will miss the rain and the cooler temperatures. But for now, I must confess, the gloominess of the skies is contagious and I’m feeling a bit blue.

I’ve got to snap out of this. After all, there is so much to be thankful for. My friends, my family, my job… yadda yadda yadda – bottom line, I’m not feeling up for looking at the silver lining and thinking happy thoughts. Truth is, I want to stay in bed, eat potato chips, and watch sappy movies until the skies clear and the sun returns. Of course that’s not going to happen. The details of life will force me out from under the sheets and into the real world – damp and grumpy. I better find a way to buck-up. They’re predicting rain all week.
