Meetings…Conference Calls…Strategic Plans… Bosses….Staff Reviews…Budgets….

All of us who are members of the working world recognize these stressful, yet mundane realities of business. It’s so easy to get bogged down with the details, gossip, and petty politics that we fail to realize that most of it’s stupid and insignificant.

Shame on us who are parents and employees that spend too much time worrying about nonsense at the office. We parents have the blessing of cheering squad when we pull into the driveway. We have the wonder of a four-year-old as he blows bubbles on the back porch. We have the lessons of eighth grader as he questions the purpose of war. We are reminded every day of what in life is truly important.

"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child."
