I have to drag myself to the gym. I really hate going. The whole process is painful. Not only is the workout a beating, but time spent in the women’s locker room is stressful. Now, I know men have no problems strutting around the locker room completely exposed and talking about the final seconds of last night’s football game. However, for women, it is a little less comfortable. Although some women appear more at ease than others, I am convinced that most are like me who try to get dressed in 15 seconds flat without looking at anything or anyone for fear of seeing another club member topless. The hard part for me is taking on and off my pants. I have a confession, I don’t wear underwear with my work-out pants – it shows panty lines. So, I try to change pants in a quick two step motion with my underwear pre-positioned in my jeans so as not to have to move to a three-step pattern. Today was no different. As I returned from my workout, I had my pants in ready position. Down went the gym shorts and up went my pants. However, during this two-second process, I noticed that my underwear was not in its proper position. In a split second, I had to consider whether to stop and try to find my underwear or continue on my course. I came to a quick conclusion and slid my pants on without wasting a second. Throughout this ordeal, the aerobics teacher whose class I barely survived was asking me questions about my impression of her workout routine. I was trying to answer her questions casually while searching for my underwear. I finally gave up and walked with her towards the exit. She was encouraging me to do some at-home exercises to be better prepared for her next class when she exclaimed, “You’ve got something on you shoe.” I looked down and to my horror, there were my panties barely hanging onto the heel of my shoe. My underwear had been lost and undetected in the leg of my pants. It had made its escape as I was walking. With lightening speed, I retrieved them and stated, “It’s my gym sock.” I think she knew I was lying. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |
I can identify - it happened to me with pantyhose when they first came out. I didn't (and don't) wear panties with my pantyhose and usually took off my pants/pantyhose together. It so happened the next time I wore the pants, i didn't know the pantyhose were in there and I am walking down the hallway at work and someone told me something was following me. Can you imagine pulling those long pantyhose out of your pants. I couldn't think of reason to give the person following me down the hall.
A glimpse into the mental struggles of a female...too funny! I'll share with you a prayer that I have taught my sons to pray daily. "Dear God, thank you that I am not a girl. Amen."
