I remember begging my mother to allow me to shave my legs. I didn't realize that this rite of passage left dark, prickly stubble where my little soft blond hairs use to be. It's the same with coloring your hair. My advice - DON'T START! Unless you are prematurely graying or repairing your hair after a freak paint spill accident, there is no reason to begin this vicious cycle. I put in highlights this summer and have had color changes or corrections four times since I started. Last week was the worst. I was at a fancy shmancy Dallas salon getting my hair darkened into a chestnut color with caramel highlights (sounds yummy!). When the towel was removed, I noticed some bright orange accents in my reflection. "Not to worry," I say to myself, "these people have French accents. They must know what they are doing." However, by the time my locks dried, my hair was a horrifying pumpkin orange color. It was bad - I mean really bad. The stylist gets nervous and quickly slapped on another round of color. Three-and-a-half hours and $150 later, I finally left the salon with a color almost identical to my natural brunette. What a waste of time and money! 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
I would NOT have paid a cent! You didn't get what you asked for!
