Mrs. World Contestants Reunite in Malaysia!

Congratulations to Mrs. Malaysia, Beatrice Nirmala, her husband Alfred, Passions magazine staff, and her family for inviting the 2007 Mrs. World contestants to help raise funds and promote awareness of the IJN Foundation through the Passions Royal Charity Ball. It was a great honor to meet the Sultanah of Pahang, Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, the royal spokesperson for the Go Red Campaign, who continues to increase awareness and educate her community about heart disease. It was so wonderful to meet with beautiful children and their families at the Children's Hospital to see how the money raised from the event helps those in need to afford treatment. The contestants and I feel so grateful for this amazing opportunity to help make a difference and support this worthy cause.

The citizens of Kuala Lumpur were extremely kind and generous from the Palace of the Golden Horses Resort, to Euro Moda boutique, to the Indian, Chinese, and Malaysian restaurants. Kuala Lumpur brings together Malaysia's past and present, its many constituent cultures, and even its remarkable natural treasures, allowing first-time visitors an invaluable opportunity to see Malaysia as a whole before setting off to explore surrounding cities. Kuala Lumpur was a grand gateway to a fascinating destination!
