Dinner at the Ventana Room with the Mrs. America Contestants
Posted August 31, 2007
The 2007 Mrs. America contestants, the Mrs. America staff, and I had an amazing dinner at the Ventana Room at the Loews Ventana Resort. This restaurant was voted the "most romantic" restaurant in America! We had beautiful views of the Tucson mountains and saguaro cactus. The contestants had an opportunity to thank Brian Johnson, Manager of the Loews Resort, by presenting him with a gift from their state. I gave a welcome speech then introduced each contestant before they spoke about their gifts. It was a pleasure getting to know each contestant and talk about their community service platforms. It's going to be an exciting two weeks!

Cares for Kids Radiothon at Tucson Medical Center
Posted August 27, 2007
It was a pleasure to help Johnjay and Rich from 93.7 KRQ radio raise funds for the Cares for Kids for Children's Miracle Network. It was so wonderful to help donate to this cause and answer the phones during the Radiothon. All proceeds stay in southern Arizona to benefit children's services and programs at Tucson Medical Center. Thank you Tucson for your prayers and donations!

40th Annual Miss Sierra Vista Scholarship Pageant

The Emcee, Grady Butler, interviewed me about the Mrs. America/ Miss World Organization, Susan G. Komen For The Cure Foundation, and The National Anthem Project. Congratulations and best of luck to Miss Sierra Vista 2007 Maggie Giuffrieda at the Miss Arizona Pageant!
