Cowgirl Up!
I can't believe we have been here a whole week! Everyday is so exciting!
This morning our wake-up call rang at 5:45 a.m... ouch! My roommate, Drennan, Mrs. Utah, had early morning interviews with the show producer, Peter. I immediately hit the gym for a good cardio and shoulder/back work-out. The gym was packed with beautiful contestants! Mrs. Texas, Tracey, and I then went to breakfast and loaded up on fresh fruit and eggs. Tracey and I have already become really good friends and I can't wait to visit her in Dallas!

This afternoon all of the contestants had our gift exchange. It was so exciting to receive so many creative gifts. It was a bit of a challenge getting those bags of stuff into my car! Mrs. America, Andrea, arrived during our rehearsal. She is so beautiful and sweet. It was so nice to talk to her about her year as Mrs. America. It sounds like she had an incredible year. She really is Mrs. America!!!
After rehearsal practice we had a delicious barbeque dinner catered by Texas Roadhouse. Everyone relaxed in a southwestern atmosphere...southern hospitality watch out! Arizona hospitality may become a national trend!! We ate dinner outside to enjoy the weather and beautiful sunsets.

Thank you to my wonderful husband Thomas, Mom, and Grandma Mary for dropping off my special goodies today. I love and miss you all so much! Thank you to the Hill and Ritter families for my gorgeous flowers, Jaime, Ali, and Mayda for the faxes, and Diane Ross, Pat, and Diana for the thoughtful cards. Your support means so much. And thank you for all of your blog comments.

You look absolutly beautiful!
I am so glad you are having fun. I keep telling people there is no place like Arizona. How wonderful it must be to share this experience with everyone not only representing our beautiful state but your beautiful hometown. I will always be a Sun Devil but we sure are proud of our Wildcat.
Good luck!!

Diane you look amazing, and what wonderful experiences you are having. It really seems like Arizona knows who to cater to the contestants. When I purchased my tickets it appears that one of the contestants and I share the same name is Texas's last name Elliott as well? Have a wonderful time and I can't wait to see you on Wednesday. :)
