Emcee for the Casa de la Luz Foundation's To a Tea Fundraiser and the Wings Around the World Parent Aid Event
Thank you Dasa Schmidt, Director of Casa de la Luz Hospice, for inviting me to Emcee the Maya Palace fashion show. The fourth annual To a Tea Fundraiser helped raise funds for the support of hospice patients, educational materials to the community about end of life issues, and bring awareness of this benefit that is so greatly underutilized. Please visit www.casafoundation.org to learn more about the Casa de la Luz Hospice Foundation.

Childhelp USA and Fiesta Fantastica Fundraiser Events

Mrs. Arizona America 2007 Tracey Elliott, the 2008 Mrs. Arizona contestants, and I were honored to model in the Childhelp USA Fashion Show and Auction at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. Clothing was provided by Mombomb, www.mombomb.com, thank you Diane Ritter! Childhelp USA focuses on prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Childhelp offers public awareness and advocacy programs such as the Good Touch/Bad Touch Program, treatment facilities, foster care, and group homes. For more information please visit www.childhelp.org.

My mom Lorraine and I were thrilled to design a pinata for the Fiesta Fantastica event at the La Encantada Mall in Tucson. It was a beautiful evening of folklorico performances, live mariachi music, and samples of delicious food from local restaurants and resorts. The silent auction that features colorful, custom-designed piƱatas created by local celebrities and artists. Proceeds benefited the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to funding research projects to find a treatment and cure for Niemann-Pick Type C disease (NP-C) and related neurodegenerative disorders. Named in honor of Ara Parseghian, the much beloved and well-known Notre Dame Football Coach, whose three grandchildren were diagnosed with NP-C. Research is the key, and you can help by donating to the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, www.parseghian.org.
Love,
Diane
