I can't remember the last time it rained here more than two days in a row, so I looked it up. Turns out it was March 29-30. That was a while ago. We had some sprinkles today, but we're expecting heavier downpours overnight and into Thursday. Not flooding, but there will likely be some substantial downpours. That's good because we need it. Even though the north side of town had a deluge on May 5, everyone south of I-10 has been pretty dry. Bush Intercontinental: 3.51" It truly has been a case of the "haves" versus the "have-nots". A surge of moist air moved in Tuesday behind a warm front - that's why it's so muggy outside and shots of energy surging along a branch of the jet stream are combining to produce enough lift to allow showers to develop. This pattern will continue through Thursday when a strong cold front pushes in from the north. This could produce heavier storms for everyone. So dust off the umbrella, especially if you live south of I-10! |
