Bertha Garrett: April 15, 2009

Last week and this week have been extremely exciting for me. I had two interviews last week. Of course, one was a phone interview. Monday and today I had follow up interviews from both. Another interview in scheduled Friday.

The phone interview was my third from a Company I would LOVE to work for. I think it could be such a wonderful fit for both of us. I am hoping and praying I will get one more interview and then an offer.

I am finding for every position I have interviewed for, that there have been over 35 applicants. This will not discourage me in any capacity, I believe my knowledge and my Leadership skills will help me acquire the right position.

The situation is just a little scary for me, I have never been unemployed until now, working is something I have done since I was 14 years old.

In the meantime, I will continue to Believe, have Hope and trust in God and continue my journey.

I am having the same problem Bertha! And am in a similar situation, have an 11 year old and have been working since 14, and find myself without a job. Unfortunately I am early in my career and still must look for supportive roles, which are in short supply and in high demand. I wish you the best of luck on your search!
