The job search continues. This week, I had two phone interviews, I think they went well, but just because you think they went well is not an indication you are in the running for another interview. The only thing you can do is to trust and have faith. We all know if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. I am waiting faithfully for my breakthrough.

I really do not like phone interviews; you never know what the other person is thinking or how many other people are in the room. This type of interview is extremely stressful.
My phone interview yesterday continued for 35 minutes. Then I received a questionnaire; they wanted this back within the hour. From that interview, I received an e-mail today stating the HR manager would call me on Thursday. I will know if I am selected for the next round of interviews. Yes, it is retail; what can I say, I love this industry!!!!

Today, I had the second phone interview, this was only 27 minutes. The Regional VP thought I might be over-qualified for the position, but would keep my name on the list. They are making a decision in 10 days.

I try not to get my hopes up about any of these positions, I must stay positive and keep my focus. When I find myself getting sad and emotional, I think about the many blessings I have instead of thinking about what I don't have.

Since the segment aired on WFAA, I have had many people tell me I should start my own business, including my son and his girlfriend (hopefully my future daughter-in-law). Yes, I am the person in my family that is always coming up with some idea. Starting a business is on my list of opportunities, well... maybe I need to put it at the top of the list.

In the meantime, I will continue sending out resumes, going to job fairs and following up on any leads.

And yes, the journey continues...
