Hello everyone, thanks again for all your comments, prayers and positive thoughts sent my way. A special thanks to Mr. Mike for his advice, Ms. Michelle and Stewart for your kinds words and prayers.

The interview went very well, preparing for the interview of course is another story. The position is commission only and that is a bit intimidating. The company is looking for someone with a track record of commission sales, but they thought with my tenacity and drive I would be an asset to them and myself. I am disappointed the position was commission sales only, but I will not let this get me down.

I had two recruiters call today wanting to help place me. As I decide about the sales position and which recruiter to use, I will continue with school, networking and job fairs.

Several people have ask why am I so persistent about finding employment, those who ask just haven't been unemployed before. You can not survive on unemployment benefits!!!!!

Tomorrow I will go to Texas Workforce, get job leads, get copies of my resume and take another interview class.(continuing to prepare for Thursday's Job Fair)

Some key things I have learned you can do to help you get through this time of being unemployed are:

Get dressed each morning just as you did when you had a job. Get out, network or take a class this will allow you to market yourself better.

Take advantage of all the resources your Church and Texas Workforce have to offer you.

Surround yourself with positive people, people who care about you and your well being.

Find a Networking group that is good for you, there many great ones in the DFW/area.

Now, these are things that helped me, and I thought I would share them with you. It takes time to get to these steps, because you must allow yourself to go through all the emotions that come from being unemployed.

and yes, my journey continues......................................
