Hi, my Name is Bertha Ann Garrett my career started with Stein Mart August 1995. My career ended January 06, 2009 at 8:45 am. This was the day I was told I no longer had a job with Stein Mart. Surely, this was a mistake; this could not be happening to me. One who had given so much to a company and a position that I was very passionate about. As I walk to my car I thought how will I tell my family, friends that I had lost my job. What would I do and how would I do it?

What would I do to get a resume and start looking for employment. I thought I would have a job within 2 weeks. Well, this did not happen. 45 resumes sent out, and I am still seeking employment.

I discovered I needed to enhance my skills by enrolling in school so I would be able to market myself toward a different career. So my journey begins...
