Lose weight fast? If only
I'm a producer with WFAA and I'm trying to lose weight. But who isn't these days?
It's five o'clock in the morning when my alarm goes off. Getting out bed seems to be the hardest part of the day.
I've always been athletic and enjoyed working out, but these days I've been noticing some things that concern me. For example, what happened to that space between my thighs? It used to be there. Don't deny it! You probably wonder the same thing.
I can remember running in college wearing nothing but shorts and a sports bra. If I knew then what I know now, I would have enjoyed those flat abs a little more.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not obese. I wear a size 8 okay ... sometimes a size 10. But I'm only 27 and already I can't stop thinking about the constant fight to keep those ever growing pounds from creeping onto my body. After three weeks of running two miles in the morning and jogging two miles at night I've only lost four pounds. My husband has lost 10. What gives?
If I had titled this blog "lose weight fast," women would have instantly clicked to read it.
The reason? I'm not alone. We all want to lose weight. But the truth is there isn't a fast way to shed those pounds. At least, not if you want to keep it off.
There are supposedly three keys to losing weight: diet, exercise and water. But what do I know? I gauge my workout by how sweaty my sports bra is when I'm done. So, if you have any tips I'd love to hear them. E-mail me at mailto:mmharris@wfaa.com.
