Adventure Boot Camp, Day 10
Disappointing weekend: I gained weight! I told you I was going to have a difficult weekend considering all of the dinners I had planned. I kind of blew it both nights even though I thought I was doing better than usual. I did run over the weekend trying to work it off, so it might have been even uglier had I not burned a few calories.
So, on to today's workout. It was leg day and you know what that means: I'll be in pain the rest of the week. I am finding that I am handling the workouts much better, but without being a broken record....the back still kills me....there are just some moves I can't do. Today we did lots of walking lunges and squats, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, dead-lifts (that I couldn't do), and much, much more. But, I felt fine afterwards and wanted to go for a run....but no time! After my hour-long commute to work though, I was already stiff when I climbed out of my car. I look like an old lady getting out of my car.
I have noticed that most of the girls in the class are doing better as well...we have all gained strength and cardio endurance. I have decided I will rejoin 24 hr fitness to continue my working out. While I am frustrated with the weight GAIN, i'm just going to keep trying. I'm not really looking forward to my measurements - I don't know if they will be that much better despite my hard work.
