This is my very first blog for this fantastic new website!
I thought I would share a story from my own life.
Many of you know that I am the mother of two girls. They are my life. I love them to bits!
This morning around 8:45 a.m, I called my husband to check in and see how everyone is doing. (Since I get into work very early, around 4 a.m. for News 8 Daybreak, I miss mornings in my house.)
My husband informed me that my younger daughter, who is only 4, lost her first tooth!
I knew it was going to happen -- it has been loose for weeks. To be honest, I freaked out a little when she first told me it was loose. I thought she was way too young to lose a tooth. My older daughter lost her first tooth around 6. A visit to the dentist calmed me down, I found out some kids lose their teeth as young as 4.
So back to my husband when he told me about Lauren losing her tooth, I said "Oh we have to do something special."
He got a little annoyed with me, he asked "Why do we have to do something special, other than the tooth fairy visiting?"
You see, my husband thinks I baby Lauren way too much, and he wants me to stop! I am having a hard time with this, she is my baby!
I know he is right, I am going to have to start letting go.
Well, just a little. No matter what anyone says she will always be my baby.
Have a great day!
