For the last week or so I have been working on two Irish dancing stories. I am really excited about this.
Once upon a time, when I was a wee lass, I took Irish step dancing classes. To be honest I wasn’t crazy about it at the time. Irish step dancing is not easy. It requires lots of patience, practice and talent! My dear Mom and Dad were so patient hoping that I would grow to love it.
But sadly I did not. Now years later, I look back and I regret it. I should have stuck it out.
Now all I want to do is dance!
A couple of years ago, I got the chance to dance with “Riverdance” at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
It was for a story. Wow, it was so much fun. I will never forget it.
So this year I decided to seek out a local Irish dance studio. I found one on Buckner Boulevard. Maybe you know it? It’s the Hibernia School of Irish Dance. What a talented group of dancers!
Wait until you see them dance. I too donned a pair of dance shoes. You can decide for yourself what you think of my dancing.
You can look for these stories to air on the 15th and 16th of March!
Did I mention that I once played the accordion too!
But I will save that story for a different day!
