Writer and Dallas mom Kim Harwell made me laugh with her look at how her toddler fell under the spell of the purple beast despite the family's best efforts to remain Barney-free.

So far, my wee ones (a 2-and-a-half-year-old and an infant) have not become enamored of any characters that would threaten my sanity, although the oldest did seem more excited than I would like over the arrival of a Teletubbies Valentine card.
