Lots of relationship stories out there for Valentine's Day, with The New York Times getting a lot of traction out of this piece that looks at how couples can find themselves at odds over who's in charge when cooking at home. It's a really odd little article, in which most of the men come off as far more bossy and obnoxious and the women far more wimpy than is probably the case (I hope). Let me put it this way: Be careful about letting a photographer snap you kicking back with a glass of wine while your significant other works the grater. It can result in captions like this one: Robin Henry gets the menial tasks while her fiancé, Andrew Goldman, supervises. His attitude, she says, is "part of his charm." |
