HOUSTON -- A Houston man was arrested Thursday after a three-year investigation into allegations that he recruited young girls from other states to work as prostitutes in Texas.

Barry Lernard Davis, aka Sir Lewis, is charged with sex trafficking of a minor, transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and coercion and enticement of yet another female to travel in interstate commerce to engage in prostitution, United States Attorney Tim Johnson and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott announced Thursday. Police: Liquid heroin, steroids found in Friendswood home

FRIENDSWOOD - Friendswood Police serving a probation violation warrant say they found drugs in steroids in the suspect's home.
Police served the warrant Tuesday, July 7 at a residence in the 1500 block of Windsor Drive in Regency Estates.
The suspect, 23-year-old Joseph David Bender, was caught with a vial of liquid heroin and a dozen Vicodin pills, according to police.

(HOUSTON) - The operator of a prostitution business has been sentenced to prison for tax evasion, acting United States Attorney Tim Johnson announced Friday.

United States District Court Judge Melinda Harmon sentenced Randall Bradley Jones to 33 months in federal prison without parole to be followed by a three-year-term of supervised release.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Deputies in Montgomery County say they found evidence of a clandestine meth lab operating in two houses in the same neighborhood.
The residences were located in the 11300 block of Gilmore and the 25400 block of Redwood in east Montgomery County.
