HOUSTON--A man suspected of driving a stolen motorcycle is on the run after leading police on a chase through Houston. The ordeal began on the North Freeway at Gulf Bank. Police gave chase after the driver would not stop. Police say that the driver traveled to Aldine Bender and then onto the Hardy Toll road overpass. While there, police say, the driver got off the motorcycle and started running. He jumped over a guardrail and landed about 20 feet below and managed to keep running, say police. Helicopters and police dogs were called in to help search for the man, but they couldn't find him. Police say the motorcycle was stolen from Austin. |
