Around 10:25 on the morning December 10, 2008, two males entered the Compass Bank on Rice Blvd in West University Place. One male approached the lone teller working the counter the other male waited a few steps behind. The male at the counter handed the teller a note that stated he had a gun and demanded money, he also told the teller he had a gun. The teller than gave the man some cash and both suspects fled on foot to a waiting car.

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at El Camino Del Rey around 11:25p.m. on Dec. 29.

Police reported that the victim was walking home from a friend's apartment to his own apartment complex driveway when he was approached by two unknown Hispanic males. One of the males pulled a gun and began shooting at the victim.

An anonymous citizen called into the Crime Stoppers Tip Line on December 23, 2008, with information on a wanted fugitive Javier Solis, Jr. Solis was wanted for the 1997 Christmas Day murder of Roger Stobaugh. Mr. Stobaugh was killed when he interrupted a burglary at his home after he returned to pick up a crib. He was shot when he struggled with one of the intruders. The shooter was later identified by a co- defendant as Javier Solis, Jr.

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male that took place at Kings Gate Circle on Dec. 29 around 4:40 a.m.

Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex and found the victim lying in front of an apartment with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found on Scott St. at about 7:20 a.m. on Friday.

Police said that patrol officers and HFD personnel responded to the Subway Sandwich Shop at 3704 Scott after a citizen noticed the victim lying partially inside the business near a broken window and called police.

The victim, who had no apparent wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.
