Construction worker killed in hit-and-run

Thumbnail image for policelogo.jpgA TXDOT construction worker was killed Saturday night while assisting a clean-up crew on 100 North Travis.

According to Houston police, Ray Wilson drove his car around a TXDOT truck blocking a left lane, when he struck the 42-year-old construction worker and kept on driving.


An off-duty HPD sergeant, who witnessed the accident, caught up with Wilson after he had driven a quarter of a mile.

The victim, David Hall, was pronounced dead at the scene.
