A Harris County grand jury will decide whether to file charges against a store clerk who police say shot and killed a suspected robber.

It happened Monday at a T-Mobile store off the Southwest Freeway near Fondren.

Reports indicate that the suspect walked into the store and pointed a gun at two employees.

According to police, it was at that point that a third employee pulled out his own gun and began shooting.

Shots were exchanged between the employee and the suspect.

In the end, the suspect was killed.

No one else was hurt.

I totally get the "us against them" mentality. And when someone uses a weapon, it really implies they will take your life. Don't get me wrong, I beleive you should feel safe wherever you are (if you are one of the good guys,) but if we shoot people, I think it might become "us against us."
I think Joe Horn is a product of his environment as much as the people our public defenders are forced to represent. When we live in a society where the weak are eaten, one must be strong to survive. What then is each persons definition of strength, and what price will you pay to have it ? We don't own a gun at our house, probably because if we did, and someone broke in, I think I would aim to kill, and remember later that my strength comes form being able to survive anything that doesn't just kill me outright.

WHAT IS ONE TO DO WHEN THE BAD GUY POINTS A GUN AT YOU....? I THINK THEY DID THE RIGHT THING. IF NOT WE WOULD BE READING ABOUT 3 EMPOYEES BEING TIED UP OR EVEN KILLED.
