Ever see the Hitchcock movie, "Rear Window"? This case reminded me of that plot. Sunday morning, a man driving along a secluded private roadway spotted a black suitcase in the woods. He walked over to the suitcase, but never expected to find a human body inside. While the body was at the Medical Examiner's Office, police learned 55-year-old Maria Rodriguez was reported missing two days earlier by her husband. Homicide Investigator's checked into the information and located Rodriquez's daughter, Priscila. Police interviewed 17-year-old Priscila, and she confessed to helping her boyfriend Gerson Funes-Reina load her mother's body into the suitcase. She also said she helped him dump the body at Guinn and 10th Street. Murder charges were filed on 19-year-old Gerson Funes-Reina. Funes-Reina, who is from Honduras, is also in the country illegally. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |
