The robbery occurred on July 28 around 7:00 p.m. Bank officials say a man approached the front counter area just as the employees were closing the bank. The robber told one of the tellers to "get to the safe" and told the teller that he had a gun and would use it. He motioned to large bulge underneath his shirt, and although no weapon was displayed, both employees could see what they believed was a gun. The bank teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The bank robber then placed the money inside a bank bag that was lying on the bank counter and forced the employees to lie down inside the back office. The robber left the location through the main entrance of the Kroger store, where it is believed his getaway car was waiting. The suspect is described as a black male, mid-to late 20's, 5'11-6'0, stocky build, with a dark-colored goatee. He was wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt, a dark-colored baseball cap and sunglasses.
